Tanthang Cement Plant is located in a prime location, near abundant raw materials, large reserves and the most valuable quality in the region, ensuring a stable and long-term supply of raw materials for production.
Raw materials include limestone mines with 3 adjacent mountains: Kim Giao mountain, Lem mountain (Len mountain) and Rang Cua mountain, total area of 128.87 ha, reserves of 224 million tons.
Tanthang Cement has high-quality raw materials, high CaO content in limestone (average 53%), and the Da Bac clay mine area covers an area of 155.29 hectares with reserves of about 38 million tons.

Currently, Tanthang Cement Plant is operating with a capacity of 5,000 tons of clinker/day, equivalent to 2 million tons of cement/year, and is expected to expand to a second production line in the future.
Central Control Room – “The heart of the factory” controls all operations of Tanthang cement plant, automatically connecting electronic, mechanical and environmental technologies in a synchronous manner.
The system is equipped with the latest generation of technology in the world, which is the Atox Mill coal grinding machine of FLSmidth (Denmark), 2-support clinker kiln with an inner diameter of 5m, length of 60.7m, weight of 484 tons (including 6 blocks), using the most advanced technology and equipment of FLSmidth - Denmark.
It is the world's newest generation vertical mill system supplied by Loesche - Germany, a modern, high-precision bagging system, producing multi-purpose bag cement for both covered and uncovered vehicles, supplied by Haver & Boecker - Germany.
Most important - ABB's (Switzerland) electrical automation system - the core of 4.0 technology - at a high level, centralized control to synchronously control factory operations, connecting electronic, mechanical and environmental technologies together.
This system only consumes about 95 kW/ton of cement, consumes less than 730 kcal/kg of clinker, and experts are very impressed with these figures, because it is the lowest consumption level in the entire cement industry today.

Tanthang Cement is one of the rare units in Vietnam capable of producing sulfate-resistant cement, because compared to normal cement, sulfate-resistant cement has more advantages thanks to its high strength and ability to resist corrosion.

Tanthang Cement is highly appreciated by the international market for its good quality, beautiful cement color, modern design and packaging, and diverse packaging specifications such as regular 50kg cement bags, Jumbo bags weighing from 500 - 2,000 kg and other types of packaging. Even in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, Tanthang Cement Plant exported a large volume of PC50 cement and tens of thousands of tons of sulfate-resistant cement to demanding markets such as the US, Australia, China, etc. with a total value of millions of USD.
Green symbol of Vietnam cement
The trees in the plant premises are not covered with dust, the chimney does not emit smoke, saving up to 30% of electricity... the representative of Tanthang Cement Plant proudly introduces the technology that helps the environment to be green, clean, safe, and environmentally friendly even though the factory is operated at high intensity.
All the dust in the workshop, dust outside the factory, leads to wasted materials and pollution, and consumes electricity... Therefore, Tanthang Cement has determined to solve the core problem, which is sustainable development with green technology, friendly to the environment.
The generated dust is completely treated with the most advanced technology: using bag dust filters combined with electrostatic dust filters. All environmental monitoring data is transmitted directly to the Nghe An Department of Natural Resources and Environment for inspection and monitoring.
Currently, at Tanthang cement plant, the output dust concentration is always less than 30 mg/Nm3, the cement grinding area is less than 20 mg/Nm3.
“The current environmental standards at Tanthang are equal to the requirements of European standards and exceed the requirements of Vietnamese standards,” emphasized Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung, Deputy Head of Tanthang Cement Technology Department.
